About Us

Our Concern For Your Child’s Safety

Your child’s safety is our number one concern. We want you to feel comfortable leaving your children with us. Our environment includes a check-in system and a secure transitional time for children as they move through their Sunday morning activities.  Our volunteers have submitted to a background check. They are easily identifiable with both name badges and KidzConnection t-shirts.

Our Mission / Our Purpose

The leadership at Memorial Church of Christ seeks to partner with parents to ensure our children:

  1. Know and cherish a loving relationship with their God and King.
  2. Treasure Jesus alone as the One who saves and satisfies their heart.
  3. Form loving and lasting relationships with others both inside and outside the church.
  4. Discover their place in the Kingdom of God as they worship and serve Him and others around them.

Our Goals For Our Kids

The children will:

  1. Develop a personal relationship with God as they grow in understanding who He is as God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.
  1. Grow in their conviction of a Creator God who made us in His image.
  2. Explain how they know Jesus as the Son of God based on an understanding of Jesus' birth, His teachings, His miracles, and His death and resurrection.
  3. Describe the role of the Holy Spirit in their lives as Teacher, Counselor, Comforter and Friend.
  4. Form lasting relationships with one another.
  5. Seek out role models to serve as Christlike examples in their lives.
  6. Seek ways to love and care for those in their own family and be responsible members of their family.
  7. Act in a Christlike manner around others.
  8. Look for ways to serve others around them, in their church and in their community.
  9. Develop a world-wide focus concerning the Kingdom of God and His mission to save the world.
  10. Memorize key passages of Scripture that will encourage and strengthen their faith in God and His Word.
  11. Demonstrate a basic understanding of the timeline of biblical history and explain God's story of salvation from the beginning of time.
  12. Identify basic components that make up God's Word such as the number of books, the names of the books, the number of authors, the languages of the Bible, and the time it took to write the Bible.
  13. Explain the 5-step plan of salvation.
  14. Grow in their conviction to make Jesus Lord of their life and to seek out salvation for themselves.
  15. Develop Christian disciplines for a daily walk with Christ such as prayer, Bible reading, and personal devotions.
